INVITATION TO TENDER - Group Medical Cover

Group Medical Cover – 2026 -  2027 

The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) is one of the pillars of the African Standby Force established for the purpose of containing the scourge of conflicts and enhancing peace and security in the Eastern Africa Region. EASF is inviting Tenders to provide a Group Medical Cover for 2026 and 2027. 

 SPECIFICATIONS:

Medical and Surgical expenses for a total of 240 members of staff and their dependents where main members are Kenya and Ethiopia while the dependents are spread across the other Member States namely, Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan and Uganda. 

Out Patient

• Describe your offer for Out Patient Service for staff and dependents
• Out- patient consultation fee
• Diagnostic Laboratory and Radiology services
• Physiotherapy
• Drugs
• Antenatal and post-natal care
• External aids e.g Crutches, frames, wheelchairs
• Pre-existing and Chronic conditions

 In-patient

• Describe what you offer in Enhanced In-Patient for staff and dependants
• Hospital bed charges
• Doctor’s fees, Anesthetist’s bills, operating theatre fees, laboratory, X-rays, CT scan , Ultrasound, pharmacy, MRI scans, ECG
• Radiotherapy and chemotherapy
• Pathology
• In-patient physiotherapy
• Pre-existing and chronic conditions 

Dental and Optical Cover

• Dental Cover per member to include: cleaning, fillings, x-ray and extractions.
• Optical Cover per member to include the cost of eyeglasses and eye testing . 

Others:

• Maternity Cover: C-Section, delivery fees, doctors’ fees, threatened abortion, miscarriages, maternity related complications
• Counseling and psychiatric cases
• General health checkups: Heamogram, Urinalysis, Blood sugar, stool, VDRL, kidney function test, ECG, Pap smear, PSA, 

The cover should consider continuation of the cover upon rotation of staff and replacement as long as the number does not increase.   

The sealed bids should be submitted to the address below clearly marked with the reference number MED/INS-HR/2026 for the category by 2^nd February, 2026 at 1400Hrs.
