L'EASF lance son Premier Exercice de Commandement Maritime « Bahari Salama 1 » à Djibouti

Base de Doraleh, Djibouti — 7 Octobre 2025 — La Force en Attente de l'Afrique de l'Est (EASF) a officiellement lancé aujourd'hui son tout premier Exercice de Commandement Maritime, Bahari Salama 1, à la Base de Doraleh à Djibouti. Cet événement, qui s'est déroulé sous le patronage du Chef d'état-major des Forces Armées Djiboutiennes, le Général Zakaria Cheikh Ibrahim, marque une étape importante dans la préparation opérationnelle de l'EASF et la coopération régionale en matière de sécurité maritime.

Kigali, Rwanda – 12 September 2025 – The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) successfully concluded a five-day regional cybersecurity and cyber terrorism awareness workshop hosted at the Paramount Hotel in Kigali. Held under the theme “Think Smart, Stay Safe: Youth Against Cyber Threats,” the workshop brought together more than 50 participants from EASF member states to build awareness and resilience against emerging digital threats.

The event aims to raise awareness and build regional capacity to combat emerging digital threats, with a particular focus on engaging young people. Held under the theme "Think Smart, Stay Safe: Youth Against Cyber Threats," the workshop will bring together cybersecurity experts, policy makers, law enforcement agencies and youth representatives from across the region.

AU Special Envoy Pays Courtesy Visit to EASF to Strengthen Cooperation on Women, Peace and Security

Wednesday, 3 September 2025 - Nairobi - H.E. Ambassador Liberata Mulamula, the African Union Commission (AUC) Special Envoy on Women, Peace and Security (OSE-WPS), paid a courtesy visit to Brig. Gen. (Rtd.) Paul Kahuria Njema, Director of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF), at the EASF Secretariat on Wednesday, 3 September 2025. The visit aimed to deepen collaboration on implementing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in the Eastern Africa region, particularly in advancing the goals of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and related AU commitments.
