EU Delegation Visits EASF Headquarters and Logistics Base

Addis Ababa, 30 October 2025 - On Thursday, a delegation from the European Union to the African Union visited the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Force Headquarters (FHQ) and Logistics Base. The visit was hosted by the EASF Force Commander and the Chief of Staff of the Logistics Base. The delegation received a detailed presentation on EASF’s mission, operations, and ongoing initiatives, before touring the facilities and premises of both the FHQ and Logistics Base.

Nairobi, Kenya – Thursday, 30 October 2025 – The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) held a formal handover and farewell ceremony at its Secretariat in Nairobi to honor outgoing staff members and welcome new officers, in line with the EASF Rotation Matrix 2025–2029. The event aims to raise awareness and build regional capacity to combat emerging digital threats, with a particular focus on engaging young people. Held under the theme "Think Smart, Stay Safe: Youth Against Cyber Threats," the workshop will bring together cybersecurity experts, policy makers, law enforcement agencies and youth representatives from across the region.
