EASF Takes Part in Comoros President's Inauguration Ceremony
The EASF Director, Dr. Abdilahi Omar Bouh represented the organization during the inauguration of President Azali Assoumani in Moroni, Comoros on 26th May 2019. Earlier, the Government of the Union of Comoros had invited EASF to take part in elections' observations in March 2019.
EASF in AU's Peace and Security Council's Meeting
The Eastern Africa Standby Force took part in African Union's (AU) Peace and Security Council's meeting in Addis Ababa Ethiopia on 24th May 2019.
UK's Ambassador to Ethiopia Calls on EASF Director
The United Kingdom's (UK) Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union Dr. Alastair McPhail paid the EASF Director a courtesy call on 22nd May 2019. Accompanying Amb. McPhail were the UK's Technical Advisor to EASF Lt. Col. Ewen Turner and the BPST (Africa) Commandant Colonel G.E. Mintonin.
Turkish Ambassador Visits EASF
The Turkish Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Amb. Ahmet Cemil Miroglu visited the EASF Secretariat in Nairobi on Tuesday, 22nd May 2019. During this visit, Amb. Miroglu was accompanied by the Military Attache, Captain (N) M. Alp Silivri and TIKA Coordinator, Mr. Emre Yuksek.
