EASF Delegation Calls on New Turkish Ambassador to Kenya

An EASF delegation, led by the Director Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh, paid a courtesy call on the new Ambassador of Turkey in Nairobi, Amb. Ahmet Cemil Miroglu on 28th August 2018. Dr. Bouh congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed EASF's gratitude on the existing partnership with the Republic of Turkey.

The Director also appreciated Turkish financial support, previously accorded to EASF.

On his part, Ambassador Miroglu welcomed the visit by the EASF delegation and promised to continue the established dialogue and interaction with EASF. The two leaders discussed regional security issues and ideas on ways EASF could contribute to regional peace and security.

The Director was accompanied by the Joint Chief of Staff Planning Element, Maj Gen (Dr) Charles Rudakubana and Military Assistant, Lt. Col. D. K. Chesire. The Turkish Embassy Staff present during the meeting were Capt (N) Mehmet Tekker, the Military Attache and Mehmet Ratip, the Second Secretary.
