President Faure of Seychelles Welcomes EASF Director
The Director of EASF, Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh met with the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Excellency President Danny Faure on 8th February 2018. Dr. Bouh, who is on a working visit to the Seychelles, was accompanied by the EASF Head of Civilian Component, Mr. Steve Lalande.
Ethiopian Military Students Call On EASF Force Commander
The last week of January 2018 saw 150 officers who are senior students at the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia's Defence Command and Staff College pay the EASF Force Commander a courtesy call at the Force Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Police Component's SGBV Course Concludes
The EASF Police Component conducted a Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) course from 22nd January - 2nd February 2018, at Embakasi in Nairobi, Kenya.

A three-day Senior Leadership Symposium (SLS) which is part of Cutlass Express 2018 started on 4th February at the Eden Blue Hotel, in Mahé, Seychelles. The Symposium, sponsored by the US Africa Command and facilitated by the U.S. Naval War College, ends on Tuesday 6th February 2018.

In a series of successful scheduled meetings during the 2nd week of 2018, the EASF Director Dr Abdillahi Omar Bouh called on the Commander of French Forces in Djibouti, Major General Thierry Duquenoy, on Sunday the 21st January 2018.

After the successful completion of EASF's Policy Organs' Meetings on 18th January, the EASF top management, together with other senior members of staff, held a meeting with the Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) in Djibouti on 20th January 2018.
