EASF Conducts FTX 2017's Final Planning Conference

The Eastern African Standby Force opened the Field Training Exercise (FTX) 2017's Final Planning Conference on 25th September 2017 in Port Sudan, in the Republic of the Sudan.

The four-day conference, which is the last one in preparation for FTX 2017, is basically an evaluation exercise which will seek to point out any shortfalls in respect to previously scheduled benchmarks and address these before the Exercise is rolled out in November 2017.

Addressing the participants during the opening ceremony, the EASF Director, Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh, who has passionately engaged himself in making sure that all relevant details have been adequately addressed, thanked the Republic of the Sudan for providing the necessary foundation upon which the entire Exercise lies.
