20th Council of Ministers Meeting
EASF conducted a Policy Organs Meeting from 14th to 18th March 2016 in Victoria, Seychelles. The meeting was officially opened by Hon Joel Morgan, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Transport of the Republic of Seychelles.

EASF Middle Level Management Course
EASF conducted a Mid-Level Management (MLM) Course for Police officers in Entebbe, Uganda from 29th February to 11th March 2016.

EASF Management Retreat
EASF Management Staff participated in a retreat from 26th to 29th February in Naivasha, Kenya.
The main aim of the retreat was to reflect on the performance of EASF structures and components for the year 2015 and to address related issues and to strategize for the next period.

EASF to open Headquarters in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, February 1, 2016 (FBC) - Ethiopia has signed an agreement to host the headquarters of Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) today.
The agreement was signed between State Minister for Foreign Affairs Taye Atsekesilasse and EASF Director, Ambassador Chanfi Issmail.
EASF Summit on Burundi
The Heads of State and Government of the EASF Member States met on 30 January 2016 in the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, to discuss the situation in Burundi.
CPX 2014
13th – 22nd November 2014, Adama, Ethiopia
EASF conducted a Command Post Exercise (CPX) in Adama, Ethiopia from 13th to 22nd November 2014. The CPX aimed at exercising a multidimensional Mission Headquarters in planning, preparation and execution of a peace-keeping mission.
The main objective was to practice the training audience in the integrated mission planning, command, control and execution of a complex peace support operation. The Exercise also provided an opportunity for EASF to validate its readiness for Full Operational Capability (FOC).

MASHARIKI SALAM 2013
Exercise “MASHARIKI SALAM 2013” was a multi-dimensional Field Training Exercise (FTX) set to test EASF on its path towards Full Operational Capability (FOC) by 2015. FTX 2013 was conducted from 19th – 25th May 2013 in Jinja, Uganda with 1,290 participants (military, police, and civilian).
