The Eastern Africa Standby Force held a high-level virtual meeting with the African Union and European Union aimed at reviewing the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA) III program for the year 2019 at the EASF Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi on 30th July 2020.

The meeting also sought to review the state of play of the implementation of APSA IV, which is the current phase of this program. APSA IV's scope has been reviewed to include considerations for youth, children and climate change within the COVID-19 context.

Representing EASF at this meeting were the EASF-AU Liaison Officer Colonel John Njoroge, the Chief of Staff Colonel Abdalla Rafick, and the Project Manager Ms. Alice Ondiek.
