Danish Police Officers Call on Director

A delegation of police officers from the International Police Deployment Department of Danish Police paid a courtesy call to the EASF Director Brig Gen Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa at the Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi, on 9th December 2021.

In accordance with the Danish Police regulations, deployed officers are met once a year by a task force from the International Police Deployment Department which has the mandate to analyze the progress and development made in mission areas. The task force also assesses the well being of the deployed officers in their respective areas of work.

The Danish delegation comprised the Head of National Contingency and Coordination Department Chief Superintendent Henrik Soenderby, Special Police Adviser from the International Capacity Building Section Poul Bejer, Police Inspector Poul Buus from the Danish National Police Union and Psychologist Julie Olsen. The deployed officers in Kenya are D/CSP Police Adviser Bjarne Askholm and D/CSP Law Enforcement Adviser Preben Hilliger from UNODC.

Together with the Director during the meeting were the Joint Chief of Staff Brig Gen Dr PSC Osman Mohamed Abbas, the Head of Police Component Col Mohamed Ali Robleh, D/CSP Police Adviser Bjarne Askholm, and the Military Assistant Lt Col Boniface Chomba.
