Integrated Mission Planning Course Ends In The Land of A Thousand Hills

The Eastern Africa Standby Force Integrated Mission Planning Course (IMPC) closing ceremony was held on Friday 29th April 2022 in Musanze, Rwanda with 28 participants from EASF’s member states successfully completing the 10-day training course.

 During the closing ceremony, the lead facilitator, Mr. Herve Ntege stated ‘’ You are now trained in high-level integrated planning, which is something that very few people get the opportunity to be experts in. You have also practised thinking ahead and asking yourself whether there is something you can do for your colleagues to contribute to the success of the team’’ Mr. Ntege also thanked the Rwanda Peace Academy for hosting the course and APSA for funding the IMPC.

On his part, Lt Col Jean Bosco MUHIZI, Chief J2/J3, representing the Director of EASF noted his appreciation to the EASF Member States for availing Participants to attend the course. 

‘’On behalf of the EASF Director, I wish to express our most sincere gratitude to the donor, APSA for its continuous support and I also express gratitude to the Government and the people of Rwanda for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to all of us.’’

The course was aimed at developing the skills of the participants with EASF's Operational Planning Process (OPP) and provides participants with tools to conduct operational planning, whereby Military, Civilian, Police and Mission Support Components are integrated into a single Mission Plan.

The closing ceremony ended with the presentation of certificates to the participants.
