Category: News

A three-days' EASF Experts’ Working Group meeting started on 21st November 2018 at the EASF Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi. The meeting seeks to review the achievements made in 2018 as well as analyze the 2019 Activity Plan and projected budget.

The periodical meeting comprises experts from diverse fields drawn from EASF Member States to discuss and optimize crucial matters before these are presented to the highest decision making organs for final conclusion.

Before the end of every year, the meeting convenes with the aim of reviewing the current year's achievements against the drawn activity plan and budget identifying any shortfalls in the plan. It then optimizes the financial resources at the Secretariat's disposal against planned activities for the following year. This steering mechanism ensures that resources are used in the most appropriate way possible, with all Member States agreeing collectively on such important issues.

The Secretariat's team was led by EASF's Management; the EASF Director Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh, the Head of Peace Operations' Department Brigadier Albert Kendagor and the Head of Finance and Administration Col. Letebrhan Kahsay. Others included Planning Element's Joint Chief of Staff, the Force Commander, the Chief of Staff at Logistics Base, Heads of Components and other members of staff.
