Category: News

The Eastern Africa Standby Force is taking part in an Executive Level Course on Weapons and Ammunition Management from 11th to 22nd November 2019 in Berlin, Germany. Representing EASF are the Director, Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh and the Force Commander, Brigadier General Alaadin O. Mirghani.

The course, organized by the Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC) in conjunction with the German Federal Foreign Office, seeks to enhance awareness on Weapons and Ammunition Management as well as Physical Security and Stockpile Management in a wider Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) control context.

Together with the Verification Center of the German Armed Forces, BICC further seeks to create a networking platform whereby diverse actors in the peace and security sector from the Eastern Africa region can exchange experiences, focusing on technical understanding as well as covering critical institution, political and economic dimensions.
