EASF Conducts Civilian Roster Recruitment and Verification in Burundi
The Civilian Component of the Eastern Africa Standby Force carried out a one-week personnel recruitment and verification exercise ending on 27th November 2020 in Bujumbura, Burundi.
The exercise aimed at assessing the suitability and capacity of personnel who have been trained for Peace Support Operations (PSO) by EASF or it's affiliate training centers in the region.
The exercise saw a substantive number of PSO-Trained-Civilians from Burundi being evaluated in accordance with African Union's rostering principles. A large number of those interviewed will join the African Standby Capacity; this marks yet another milestone which consolidates EASF's leading role in providing the Continental Standby Force with highly trained personnel ready and willing to roll out their acquired skills in peace keeping activities.
Conducting the recruitment and verification exercise were the Head of Civilian Component Mr. Dawit Assefa, the Human Resource Officer, Lt. Col. Viator Niyonyabo, Coordination and Rostering Officer, Mr. Michael Charlette, Training and Evaluation Officer Mr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed and Ms Fridah Mungania.
