Chief of Staff Meets Comoros President
The EASF Military Chief of Staff Colonel Abdallah Rafick made a courtesy call to the President of the Union of Comoros, His Excellency Azali Assoumani at State House Moroni, on 3rd December 2021.
During the meeting, Col. Rafick conveyed the warmest regards from EASF Director Brig Gen Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa to President Azali Assoumani. He briefed the President on the conduct of one-week long Humanitarian Action and Disaster Support Workshop which started on 29th November 2021 in Moroni as well as on the utilization of the support of
EASF Director meets Seychelles’ President
The EASF Director, Brigadier General Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa and his delegation was received by the President of the Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency Wavel Ramkalawan, for a courtesy call at State House on Thursday 2nd December, 2021. The President of Seychelles welcomed the EASF Director and his delegation and commended him for the achievements of the organization, highlighing the importance of maintaining peace and security in the region. President Ramkalawan also emphasized on the key role of EASF Member States in matters of peace and security.
Youth for Peace Seminar Rolled Out in Seychelles
The Eastern Africa Standby Force launched the Youth for Peace seminar in Victoria, in the Republic of Seychelles on 1st December 2021.
Humanitarian Action and Disaster Support Workshop Begins
In line with the approved Calendar of Activities 2021, the Eastern Africa Standby Force rolled out a Humanitarian Action and Disaster Support (HANDS) workshop in Moroni, Comoros on 29th November 2021.

The Eastern Africa Standby Force rolled out a Civilian Peace Support Operations (PSO) Foundation Course on 29th November 2021 at the Humanitarian Peace Support School (HPSS) in Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya.

The Civilian Component of the Eastern Africa Standby Force started a four-days' Civilian Roster Recruitment and Verification exercise at the Kenya Commercial Bank Leadership Training Center in Karen, Nairobi, on 23rd November 2021.
