Kenya's Jamhuri Day
Jamhuri Day (Republic Day) is a national holiday in Kenya, celebrated on 12th December each year. Jamhuri Day is meant to officially mark the date when Kenya became a republic on 12th December 1964, one year and six months after gaining internal self-rule on 1st June 1963 from the United Kingdom.
