The Eastern Africa Standby Force is pleased to issue the following message on the occasion of ‘Madaraka Day, 1st June, 2021.

Madaraka day is celebrated every year in commemoration of the day in 1963 that Kenya attained internal self-rule after being a British colony since 1920. The day represents the achievements and celebration of progress and development made by the people of this great country.

The Eastern Africa Standby Force fraternity joins the rest of the region in congratulating Kenyans for promoting the values of peace and harmony. Brothers and sisters, bear in mind that peace is the most basic starting point for the advancement of humankind so our goal must not be peace in our time but peace for all time.

Warmest wishes to the Government and people of Kenya on the commemoration of Madaraka day. Joy, peace and prosperity to all Kenyans.
