EU Delegation Visits EASF Headquarters and Logistics Base

Addis Ababa, 30 October 2025 - On Thursday, a delegation from the European Union to the African Union visited the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Force Headquarters (FHQ) and Logistics Base. The visit was hosted by the EASF Force Commander and the Chief of Staff of the Logistics Base. The delegation received a detailed presentation on EASF’s mission, operations, and ongoing initiatives, before touring the facilities and premises of both the FHQ and Logistics Base. 

Over the years, EASF has benefited significantly from EU support through the EU-Africa Peace and Security Architecture (APSA) programmes. The visit provided an important opportunity for EASF to showcase the strategic importance of its headquarters and logistics facilities, as well as the amenities and capabilities that support regional peacekeeping and rapid deployment efforts.
