BPSTA Official Calls on EASF Director

The EASF Director Brig. Gen. Getachew Fayisa held a meeting with Col. Chippy Minton who is the Commandant of the British Peace Support Team Africa (BPSTA) on 24th May 2021 at the Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi.

During the meeting, the two leaders explored various avenues of deeper cooperation between the Government of the United Kingdom and the regional peace-keeper. After attainment of the Full Operational Capability status in 2014, EASF has been steadfast in capacity building in order to maintain the requisite capabilities to roll out and successfully accomplish a peace mission should need arise at any given time.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of Peace Operations Department Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke, the Joint Chief of Staff Brig. Gen. PSC (Dr.) Osman Mohamed Abbas Osman and the Military Assistant Lt. Col. Boniface Chomba. Col. Chippy Minton was accompanied by an officer from the BPSTA.
