Following the terror attacks reported near Parliament Buildings and Central Police Station in Kampala, Uganda, the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) would like to issue the following statement.
The EASF strongly condemns the cowardly acts perpetrated on innocent citizens in these twin suicide attacks. The entire EASF fraternity offers its heartfelt condolences to all the families and friends of those killed in the attacks and wishes speedy recovery to those injured. EASF joins the rest of the region and the world in offering our support to, and solidarity with the Government of the Republic of Uganda and its people in this difficult hour.

International Women’s Day is a worldwide commemoration that celebrates women’s achievements in all spheres be it political, cultural, economic and social. The International Women’s Day 2021 is different because it is being commemorated during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is “Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world.”
