EASF Scales-up Capacity for Conflict Early Warning

The Eastern African Standby Force conducted an Early Warning Capacity Development Workshop from 8th - 11th November 2016 in Karen, Nairobi.

In line with EASF's approved Strategic Plan 2015-2020,

the regional peacekeeping force is set to develop an Early Warning Mechanism which will assist in mitigation of conflicts and also serve as a tool in timely preparedness.

The workshop aimed at coming up with a detailed and comprehensive program depicting the development of individual activities and their corresponding time lines.

It was attended by EASF staff from all three components, i.e. Police, Military and Civilian and was facilitated by experts from the continent with considerable experience in Early Warning Systems.
