EASF Rolls out UNMEOM Course in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Eastern Africa Standby Force rolled out a two-week United Nations Military Experts on Mission (UNMEOM) Course at the Ethiopian Peace Keeping Training Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 23rd November 2020.

The course aims at preparing and equipping officers with relevant knowledge and skills to enable them serve as Military Observers, Military Liaison officers and Military Advisers at any United Nations Peacekeeping Missions and particularly in the current United Nations (UN) operations.

The course was officially opened by Brig. Gen. Sebsibe Duba, who is the Commandant of the Ethiopian Peace Keeping Training Center.

The course, which comes to a close on 10th December 2020, is funded under the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA IV) framework.
