EASF Director Conducts Strategic Visit to Doraleh Base in Preparation for Maritime CPX in Djibouti
Djibouti, June 19, 2025 - The Director of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF), accompanied by a delegation, visited the Doraleh base in Djibouti on Thursday, where the EASF is set to conduct its upcoming Maritime Command Post Exercise (CPX) 2025. The exercise, codenamed "Bahari Salama," is scheduled to take place in August.
During the visit, Djibouti reaffirmed its full readiness to host the regional maritime security event, highlighting its ongoing commitment to peace and stability in Eastern Africa.
Since June 16, Djibouti has been hosting the Main Planning Conference (MPC) for Bahari Salama, where EASF planners are finalizing the operational framework for the exercise. The MPC will conclude on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
